Retail and event design

I design shop windows, stands, displays and events for businesses, and I build them in 3D before they go into production.

I can take on the whole job, a full event included: the art direction, the 3D model and the technical drawings for whoever builds it, the renders, and the print and online communication, from window graphics to invitations. I work from Cecina, in Tuscany, and I can run projects remotely as well.

From concept to production

A counter display, display islands, a colour wall, boutique furniture and the windows of a jeweller’s shop, all with Pac Team Europa, who produce them. In the windows the illustrations are by an artist: I rebuilt the shop in 3D from the survey, engineered every piece with the team and produced the technical drawings. For ORObyRUFFINO, at Milan Design Week 2024, I designed the graphics for all of the event’s communication with the agency PLUS+: ads, social media, invitations, window graphics, totems and the wrap for a tram.

Questions about retail and event design

  • Can I hand you the whole project, from the 3D to the graphics?

Yes. I handle the art direction, the 3D model and the engineering, the renders and all the graphics you need, from window graphics to totems. For the Fujifilm display, with Pac Team Europa’s design team, I worked on the concept, the 3D model, the renders and the technical drawings for production, and I designed the graphics for the product plaques. For ORObyRUFFINO, with the agency PLUS+, I designed the graphics for all of the event’s communication, from the invitations to the wrap for a tram.

  • Do you also prepare the production drawings for the manufacturer?

Yes. For a display I go all the way to the production drawings. For Fujifilm I prepared the technical drawings for production. For the Sikkens Colour Wall I updated the technical drawings, designed the templates for positioning the samples and prepared the print-ready artwork for the trays and the colour names.

  • Can I see the design before it’s made?

Yes. I build it in 3D and put it in your space: either in a space rebuilt from the survey, as with the jeweller’s windows, or in a photo of the real place, with a photomontage. That way changes are decided on screen, before anything is produced.

  • How much does it cost to design a display or a stand?

I don’t have a price list: every project gets its own quote. Once we’ve talked it through, I’ll send you the stages, timings and costs, with what’s included and what isn’t.

  • Do you work with companies outside Tuscany?

Yes. The Haier display islands are in 21 shops across Tuscany, Lazio, Marche, Umbria and Emilia-Romagna, the jeweller’s windows are in Milan and Rome, and the Maybach furniture is designed for boutiques anywhere in the world. I work from Cecina, in Tuscany, and I can run projects remotely as well.

  • Do I need a survey of the space?

It helps, but we can also start from technical drawings or your brief. When space is tight, the survey makes all the difference: in the jeweller’s windows there was about 60 cm between the glass and the back, and every piece had to be drawn to the millimetre.

(Got a space to fit out?)

I’ll design your display, stand or event, from the concept to the files for production.
