francesac.design is Francesco Sacchini. A freelance designer who handles every project personally. Someone who listens before designing, who understands what a brand feels before asking what it wants, and then gives it shape, from first idea to production-ready file.
All for fun, to see how things worked
There’s never been a time in my life when I wasn’t building something. As a child all I did was draw, all day long, on any surface I could find. Then I got hold of my parents’ digital camera and started taking photos and shooting videos, putting together sets with whatever lights I had. Then came the SLR, a photo studio pieced together with a borrowed backdrop, and the first shoots with friends in the Tuscan countryside.
Alongside all that, there was music. The guitar, the pedalboards, songwriting, a recording studio set up in a house in the countryside to record an album with my band. And writing, poems and short stories I’ve always liked to pass around. And code, not as a programmer but as someone who needs to understand how things work so he can make them do what he wants.

The common thread has always been the same: I take something, get inside it, work out how it works and I don’t stop until something comes out of it that wasn’t there before. First the SLR, then the guitar, then code.
The right name for something I was already doing
Design is where all of this found a direction. Photography had given me an eye for composition. Music, a sense of rhythm: when to push and when to leave space. Writing, the weight of words: which to keep and which to cut.
I studied design in Florence. Then I spent a year in Milan, at an agency, working on print-ready artwork. That’s where I learned the trade, and something about myself: I need to create, to invent, to figure things out. So I came back to Tuscany and went freelance.
The work I enjoy most is the kind with an idea waiting to be drawn out.
One service, or all three
Graphic design, 3D and web, in a single process: from first idea to finished file. No middlemen between the person who thinks up the project and the person who makes it.

Art direction and graphic design
Creating an identity and a visual form, on paper and on screen.

3D and visualisation
Building and showing what doesn’t exist yet, as close to reality as possible.

Web design
Taking the identity online, from first idea to live website.
The person who answers your first email is the same one who delivers your files.
Before I open a file
I start from what you ask me for, and ask myself what I can add: the twist that takes the project one step further. I picture how it needs to land, who it’s for, and what it should make people feel.
With me you get clarity on timing and costs, on what’s included and what isn’t, and a level of care that doesn’t depend on the budget. No promises I can’t keep.
The first thing I ask you is who will come across your brand.
Every choice is made together, by talking it through
I’ve worked with private clients, small businesses, established companies and multinationals. Attitude matters more than size: I work best with people who believe in what they do and are keen to talk about it.
I do my best work where people really listen and there’s mutual respect. And I work better when I can have my say: if you only need someone to carry out instructions, I’d rather tell you straight away.
Tell me what matters most to you, and we’ll build from there.
