Photomontage
With photomontage, I place your project into a photo of the actual site, with the same light and the same perspective.
I build the 3D model from technical drawings, a survey or your own brief: a building, a piece of furniture, a shop display. That way you see it finished before it’s built. I work from Cecina, in Tuscany, and I can run projects remotely as well.
The project where it belongs
Displays, furniture and architecture I’ve built in 3D and shown in the place they’re meant for: a boutique, a café, the front of a jeweller’s.
Questions about photomontage
What is a photomontage?
It’s your project placed into a photo of the actual site, with the same light and the same perspective. That way you see the finished project before it’s built.
What’s the difference between a render and a photomontage?
A render is a photorealistic image built entirely in 3D, with materials and lighting worked out piece by piece. In a photomontage, on the other hand, I place the model inside a photo of the real location, with the same light and the same perspective: that way you see the finished project in place, before it’s built.
What do I need to get a photomontage made?
Technical drawings, a survey or even just your own brief: I build the 3D model from there. Then we need a photo of the site. If you don’t have one, I can take it myself, from the air too: I’m an ENAC-certified A1/A3 drone pilot.
How much does a photomontage cost?
I don’t have a price list: every project gets its own quote. Once we’ve talked it through, I’ll send you the stages, timings and costs, with what’s included and what isn’t.
Is an AI-generated photomontage the same thing?
No. Mine starts from a model built to real measurements, so it shows the project as it is and you can use it to make decisions. A generated image makes up whatever it doesn’t know: it’s useful for exploring an idea, far less so for showing something that has to exist exactly as shown.
(Got a project you need to show in place?)
